The BSCM400 – Brick Slip Cutting Machine – is designed for the cutting of brick slips in high volumes up to 6,000 slips/hr.
It is equipped with 2 Saw Spindles, each with a 400mm saws on both sides. Bricks are placed on the infeed section against a guide rail. The bricks can be placed tightly together. Even gaps between the bricks are not a problem. Placing the bricks is done in two tracks. The bricks in both tracks are first pressed against the left stop. The left strip is cut through spindle 1 in both stone tracks. After this, the stone is pressed against the right stop. The right strip is then cut from both tracks.
After passing the second saw, the stone strips are transferred to a removal plate via an acquisition slide. The middle part is not supported by the take-out plate and drops in between on a perpendicular discharge belt that transports the middle parts to a waste container.
The BSCM400 is a dry cutting machine in which the extraction and protective hoods around the four saw blades have been specially developed to adequately extract the dust quantities produced. The entire machine is in a housing that is kept under negative pressure to keep the surrounding area dust free.
The BSCM400 is equipped with specially developed dry cutting blades with a diameter of 400mm. The right balance has been found between blade life and a high-quality finish.
Brick slips (also referred to as brick tiles or brick veneers) are thin cuts of real brick, or in some cases purpose-made brick tiles, commonly used to replicate the appearance of a conventional brick wall in both internal and external applications.
Primarily used for aesthetic purposes, as a quick, easy and cost-effective way to create an authentic brick finish on internal and external walls, brick slips also offer low maintenance and long term durability.
The performance benefits of brick slips are similar to those of brick – a breathable, non-combustible, durable, recyclable and energy-efficient material. No other cladding solution offers this combination of beauty and practicality.
